It’s not a “disgrace” it’s a decision we don’t agree with - that is properly small time. We appealed, which was our right, and the decision didn’t go our way. Continuing to publicly complain is just a bit undignified.

Utter nonsense, I'm glad we are showing we disagree with the appeal decision.

Oh well, if he has to miss three games, home to a team Ollie always scores against, home to a team near bottom of the league and home in a cup we quite clearly don't care about are about as good as it could have been.

Do you not think though, with that attitude, we will always be seen as a lesser club?  Taylor has previous with Villa and we should make our concerns known.  It's ok to show disappointment with the decision, particularly as the FA are shite and seem to let other clubs off with things.  Personally, I'm all for being a bit more vocal and gnashing our teeth.

Bollocks to that. It's about time we stood up. Poor decision needs calling out. I'll wager Anthony Taylor somehow doesn't get rostered for Villa Park again this season.

If it was an obvious absolute shocker, like Duran hadn’t touched him then maybe it’s ok. But it just isn’t, it’s a debatable red that’s it. If it were any other club we’d think it was ridiculous, but each to their own. Like I say, my personal view is it’s a bit small time.

Absolutely all for being unhappy with the decision.
Hopefully will give us as fans and the team a little extra bite for the forthcoming games.

Off balance where else could Duran have put his foot at that speed? I saw an unfortunate accident rather than any malice. That’s also how other professional footballers saw it. That’s why we need ex pros as part of VAR to provide context.

Although this is a predictable  outcome, im glad the club has actually spoken out. Its not just this how many wrong decisions  have we had this year from poor officials?

I bet if this was manure that gets taken away same with liverpool.

Also that pedro one tonight had more intend than durans. That was blatent yet no red. The whole fucking system sucks because of all the inconsistencies

Watkins should be fresh and fired up I'd hope .
I think we will see a big positive reaction Sunday from the lot of them including the manager .

Before we go clutching our pearls at the club's reaction let's consider three things.

1. Exactly how far has being the 'nice' gentlemanly club that accepts the officials and gets on with it got us?
2. How has Emery usually reacted to bad decisions over the past 26 months and what does the reaction this time say about the credibility of our grievance in this case?
3. Maybe this is the 'spark' that we have needed to galvanize the team and go on a run?

Ratboy got his card overturned - no surprise.

Duran’s card not overturned - no surprise.

With the greatest of respect I’m not “clutching at pearls”. Also you seem to be implying there is some agenda against us - I’m 99.9% certain there isn’t. Honestly what would be the point? We’ve had some decisions we don’t like and some dubious ones, but every single club will say they have too. Some of it is down to poor calls by referees, some of it is fans don’t like decisions against their club. It’s annoying, but this decision was just a subjective call, that’s it.

It was never a red, a terrible on field and VAR decision and the club did the right thing to appeal.
