I haven't seen him that shocked since he caught me in bed with his missus.

It must be gutting to find out your wife's on the game. Winking chap.

In her defence, he was only at Reading at the time.

It's incredible that at his age he should really be leading the line in our EFL Trophy games with the rest of our U21 players.

I've gone from "if he's disruptive, get rid, cash in, and get someone top-class to compete with Ollie", to "How are we going to be able to keep him if he's only getting time from the bench at the end of games?".  I think he'll start at Wycombe, and maybe even Ipswich.

For the final replay, worth spotting the person in the first row either pointing out the pass / asking why shoot? And that even the people closest to the goal had their arms folded not expecting anything.

It was an incredible goal.  A strange celebration in the Holte as most of us just seemed shocked at first, so a slightly delayed reaction.

Had an amazing view of the bend on the shot but didn't realise quite how far out it was until I saw the replay.  Undoubtedly one of the best goals I've seen at VP.  McGinn's was obviously a sensational volley, but this was special and a bit like prime 70-80's Brazil.

With all of that praise said, from a percentage play perspective I think I'd rather players not be shooting from quite that far out too often.

As for Duran, I've said before he is almost the perfect player to bring on against a tiring defence.  I know he wants to start, but his impact coming on for the last 30 mins is unbelievable.  I still think Watkins is the better fit as our starting No 9, but I desperately hope we can keep Duran.

When pretty much everyone, include your team mates, are basically saying "wow, holy shit" you know you scored a stunner.

I haven't seen him that shocked since he caught me in bed with his missus.

He'd probably end up with a weeping chap if that were true.

Yes, this is where my head currently is. I noticed on Saturday that he was running around at 100mph, chasing the ball-carrier from the back; something he wasn't so keen on doing.
Also, with the goals he's scoring this season, opponents are going to be well-sighted on the danger he poses: I think we'll find him getting a much tougher time on the pitch; which will test his temperament.

Yes, there will be more attention but on the flipside he's now created an aura where the opposition are not safe from anywhere on the pitch once he enters. He'll create spaces and panic by his very presence.

Just need him to embrace the role and sign a new contract.  For his age he'll get plenty of gametime.

I bet Pickford kept seeing that ball coming at him when he closed his eyes to sleep.

He's so different to Watkins. Yes, he's chaos but he works hard, he's not waiting for tap ins, he gets involved in play in the build up and makes sure he's available to get a shot away at every opportunity. It's one reason why they can play together.

Unai has his work cut out now keeping his feet on the ground. We all know full well we're in for Duran attempts on goal from anywhere.

From 29 yards is fine.
But Emery won't be allowing him to be completely wild shooting all over the place. I think it has to be measured.
Tielemans has ability from long range but there still has to be thought to the XG and distances and angles.
If there is a better option then shooting from long range isn't the usual option and players don't do this regularly as it's wasteful and speculative.
Not to say Duran won't have the shot from distance but it wont be every time as it's not going in or even on target every time.
