I expect it’ll be banging on about not being contenders for the top 7.

This is the worse run under him. Sorry unai but fatal error not improving the team.

Nobody said that after we sent Bayern packing.

So, the first proper slump since he took over.  Will be interesting to see how he copes and pulls us out of it.  We played ok a couple of times but haven't looked fluent over the last few weeks.  Goal difference is now gone and we can't keep clean sheets.  Time to take stock Unai.   At least this is what we Villa fans are used to.

Serious questions being asked of Emery now.  Making mistake after mistake at the moment

Id rather have lost that if it meant we won more games since.  We have been pretty shit in most games since post munich. 😟

Our slump could not have come at a worse time.

It's all gone a bit stale.

I only listened to the first half on the radio and the commentator predicted the first goal before the corner was even taken. Entire roster of staff watching saw nothing.

This decline was inevitable. We were never going to sustain the highs after our terrible transfer business in the summer.

Yes Munich was a great night but the way we are going it might be all we’ve got to show for this season.

Keep and bet on Emery. Move out the players he doesn’t want.

I don't think anyone doubts Emery but the club need to back him if the money is available and can be spent.  Start with a right back and Left/right sided midfielder.

Tonight I felt was a good performance generally back to front. Miles ahead of Spurs second half and the whole Brugge game which was unacceptable style.

We have fixtures I expect to win in next month, all of Palace, Brentford and Southampton and the table will look pretty good again but we need to do that playing like tonight not sterile football and just waiting for the opponent to gift us a goal.

I also want to see Duran and Maatsen starting prem games when we return.

It's frustrating reading seeing people just describe us as a mid table team. West Ham in whatever position they're in are a mid table team. Not sure we've earnt the right to just describe any position outside the top 4/5 as mid table quite yet.

And tell him to get off his hands and sort this defence out.  It's been woeful for months

It was a much better display tonight, but we’re still conceding very avoidable goals and failing to score very good chances.

I'm sure he'd like to but if Fulham pull out of a deal to sign Carlos, we can't spend the money we haven't got, and neither can we stockpile players.
