Also when we inevitably go through a bad patch can we give him some slack? He’s clearly hot goodwill in the back.
I would try but easier said than done in the heath of a match or matches with bad results. Not that i disagree with the attitude of giving slack but the spirit of being fan isnt always cool head.

I know it’s a bit touchy feely but I really like the fact that the bloke doing such amazing stuff at our club appears to be such a genuinely nice guy.

There will always be injuries , but to lose your best CB, your best DM and best Nr 10 and still get 4th is remarkable.

Our only DM and #10.

Someone made that point about most of our players too. Or the ones that tend to be the public face of Villa anyway. Some I know very little about outside of the team, which is probably in itself a good thing.

How much annual leave does Unai get? I hope he can relax now for a few weeks, do a bit of travelling, gardening and shagging or whatever the fuck.

I imagine all of that is planned out. Much like the great strategist like Carl von Clausewitz or Sun Tzu, his recreation and sex life is detailed and itemized. Tactically impeccable. Not a second is wasted in delivering the results all parties desire. He is demanding of himself and his wife. In his way.

He really didn't do too badly when you consider the other jokers we've had. And he did sign McGinn, which it's fair to say worked out.

Just a completely different world from where we are now though, and not a better one either. And he very seriously failed to help himself with some of the stuff he said, nor being incredibly tactically backward.
He was the right bloke for that particular dark spell in our recent past.

I disagree, he was just another to add to the long list of poor Villa managers from the period. Played mind numbing football and was sacked after chucking away a victory against the bottom club after we’d gone a quarter of a season without a win. Produced some unwatchable dirge on the pitch. Not sure who it was on here who posted that Bruce put out a team against Fulham at Wembley to play as if it was the first of a 2 legged final but they were right.

Here's how he spent some of his vacation time in 2019

Emery also attended a Coaching Development Summit where he was pictured alongside former Manchester United supporter, Howard Webb.

Love the dig at Webb from the reporter.

Yeah Emery's such a great person. Top bloke. And I did not know Howard Webb was a Yoonited supporter. He kept that quiet but I'm sure it's all above board I mean when did they ever get any favours off var?

Correct.

I remember watching us about half a season in to his tenure and wanting him gone. I'd already had enough. To be fair, I was once in the car in front of the coach after playing Norwich away and he looked like he'd had enough as well.
