I love how it's never performative, just the kind of sheer joy we ourselves feel when we score.

I suspect two seconds after, he composed himself, went and shook hands and went back to the dressing room to look over the videos of Bournemouth matches whilst downloading last nights match for the flight back.

Still a twat in the comments who has to take the piss out of the way he pronounces 'evening'.

It’s usually ****** who can barely string together a sentence in English taking the piss out of a bloke who speaks multiple languages.

Emi has already said that it would mean more to be successful with us as we're not one of the "top six" and I think Emery feels the same.

There's different ways of testing yourself and sure you can do it at a giant club like Yanited but the competitive streak in our stars, both players and coaches, is already apparent now in seeing how far they can go with a sleeping giant.

Agree with most comments here about Unai - but he’s ambitious and I think a lot will depend on how and whether ownership provide the guarantees about the next step up - money, stadium, etc - in terms how long he stays.

He won’t want to tread water for long.

But I see no reason why, if given those guarantees, he’d feel a switch is right. He’s got a terrific squad that still has more potential to develop, his own people around him, a great fan base, and serious owners.

NSWE and CH have to now show the same passion and ambition this summer

I'll most likely be proven wrong, but I'm of the firm belief that Emery is going to bring about a period in Aston Villa's history only rivalled by the pre-war years.

I’m of the mind you’ll be proven right.

Man U.will spend big ,so will Citeh and Arsenal.Spurs are raking it in.Newcastle are looking more like last season's side.
We have Emery and that trumps whatever the others do.Happy days and better ones to come.

He's the kind of manager that can make those financial advantages the others have work against themselves, as they spunk ever increasing ammounts on quick fixes to try and beat him. And fail.

Genuinley can't remember the last time i had so much faith in a Villa manager, its got to be Ron Saunders. This bloke just screams authority and knowledge, his ability to improve a player - just unmatched in my fifty-four years at Villa Park.

Obviously it doesn't matter to us as we know hes the best, But if we win the Europa Conference League and finish in the top 4 will Unai get manager of the season?

It will probably go to Bingo teeth because of all the last season nonsense.

As good as Unai is there is time when we all have to learn from experience. So, he got schooled by Fonseca over two legs and they were by far the better team. We are through because of Emi, 3 world class saves at VP and 2 pens in Lille. Unai will no doubt reflect on that.

It shouldn't though unless its a team outside the "Big Clubs".
