I think he just needs a goal and he was unlucky with the effort that hit the post although he maybe should have passed?
Thought the same, Ollie had a relative tap in. Can’t begrudge him taking it on, though.

Every leftback knows Bailey wants to cut inside onto his left foot and have a shot across goal. Stop him doing that and there's not much else from him.

For a forward that's pretty shocking. Adds a lot of pressure to the rest of the team to contribute if he isn't doing it.

I disagree with this. I think he uses his right more than most left footers I know. It’s just that he’s massively out of form and nothing is coming off for him.

Bailey thrived when we had Diaby, the pressure of being the only recognised goal scorer behind Watkins ( in the first choice 11) looks like its getting to him. We really need him to be on form as it is the only way we can stretch the 'two lines of four' defence out of position.

Glad he got his goal. Hopefully he will push on from here and we will see the Bailey of last season.

Hope you’re right but I’m not overly optimistic on that front.

Watching it again it’s a superb run. I hope Leon watches it lots and it boosts him up.

He was absolutely ecstatic  when he scored, you could see the relief.
He was getting so much grief from so many in the crowd, his determination to get to the ball was brilliant.

Even though he’s been woefully out of form, he’s never hidden or lacked effort.
That was a cracking run for his goal today and was terribly unlucky with the shot that bounced back off bar.
Needs to use that second half performance to push on now. It should have done his confidence the world of good.

I really hope so, he can be frustrating but I like Leon.

Yeah me too, he’s a likeable fella and on form he’s great to watch. Off form he’s so frustrating because you know how good he can be.
