Place him on the left wing or the bench. Being so one footed has been found out & easy to corral.

There were comparisons to Tony Daley early in the week. I apologise to Tony Daley after watching Bailey today.

Frankly, I'd rather we gave the shirt 55 year-old Tony Daley.

What has happened to the player we signed? Back then the talk was that we were lucky to get him and he was on his way to great things. The last 180 minutes of football he's produced have been an embarrassment.

Effort is there, but end product in recent times is woeful. Should have been hooked against Wolves at HT, and should have made way for Watkins today, instead of Ings.

If we MUST play with a recognised winger, then at least play him on his natural side - Hate this whole left footer on right wing/right footer on left wing thing.

Looks to be suffering like Ollie - Effort is there, but confidence in final third is completely shot. Needs a spell out of the firing line imo.

It isn't just about effort though is it? Put any Villa fan on the pitch and you'd see effort. Doesn't mean they would be any good either. Today, against a team two divisions lower at home he had the opportunity to at least show what he could do, but is decision making is that of a Sunday morning player.

I agree I think he needs a break. Although I do find it odd that some see things as black and white, essentially players have to be consistently good or sold. Bailey is going through a tough time I wouldn’t write him off.

We do need them to be consistently good though, as that's what holds us back and stops us being a top half team. He's not even consistently average with a few good games sprinkled in, most of the time he provides absolutely bugger all. Then he'll score a good goal in the 9th or 10th game, and somehow all is forgotten. It's not remotely good enough, and Bailey is the player who needs replacing the most urgently.

I hope he is crying rivers tonight and furiously apologising for his performance. In my life time of supporting Villa I can't recall a more incompetent performance from a forward.

Disagree - I get the point, I do, but I’m not writing him off. I think there’s a player there and there’s plenty I’d want gone before him. All about opinions though.

Have you seen how Daley looks? Ripped more than most footballers half his age. "He's got muscles on muscles" as I once overheard a coach describe a player built like a tank.

He looks fitter now than he did 30 years ago.

He was embarrassingly poor today, really abysmal.

He should have been hooked pretty early on, he just spent the whole match holding on to the ball too long, and getting robbed by League Two players.

I appreciate he's a confidence player, and understand he's having a hard time, but there's a limit to that sympathy. Dreadful waste of 30m.
