I think Norwich was perfect fit - inferior players and he was the main man making everyone else look better than they were.

He died a death under Gerrard when Coutinho was signed was very good in 2nd half of season (weren't they all) in 2022/23.

However we are much stronger than 2 years ago and we probably need an upgrade.

Didn't make much of an impression the other night when he came in. Emery is obviously very sweet on Rogers, even when he has stinkers like v Juve he hasn't hooked him. Buendia has been a bit unfortunate not to get more chances but he was awful in that cup game v Palace and seems to be running out of chances now.

He was very useful for us in that run when Emery first came in. Starting or off the bench. Has an infuriating habit of losing the ball under little pressure.

Still recovering from a massive injury, easily knocked off the ball early in his time with us but definitely started to ride those challenges and was playing well until that injury. He needs time. A fit Emi B is a definite asset.

Really important performance tonight. Helped change the game, brilliant pass for the second goal but just busy and dynamic in general. That Emi can play a really key role and gives us something we’re lacking.

Very happy for him and us, because when he's in form I think he's a great little player.

I think he's not benefited from our lack of consitency this season.  Slotting in to a front 4 thats playing well I tink he would be fine - but we've been lucky to have 2 of the front 4 having a good game at the same time.

No, if starts he'll be nailed on to be poor. He changed the game completely season before last coming off the bench up there and I'd be looking at giving him another good half hour up there again.

He did well when he came on but then so did Ned and JJ. All 3 added some energy that blew them away. The timing was perfect because not only did we equalise but we then upped the tempo massively with the subs.

I like Emi, but think that being a squad option who can come on in the latter stages is the role he is best suited to with us now.  Even when he's not having the best of games, he'll always slip a pass through to create a chance.  His through ball to Ollie Watkins for the 2nd goal tonight was a great example - perfectly timed and weighted.

It's just whether he's happy with that kind of role really.  I think he'd absolutely destroy the Championship again if he went and played as number 10 somewhere at that level.
