I live 20 mins from Ipswich - it is awful.  A few nice bits, but mostly horrible.  And I havent met anyone local that says any different.

Yes, it's lovely, and surrounded by wonderful countryside and coastline. Be warned though, the broads are filthy.

I have only been there twice.  As Norwich is 100 miles from anywhere.  I very much liked my visits there.  And Mrs Beards Aunt had a 2nd home there because apparently the shopping was so good.

The waterfront is good, and they Uni does some good stuff for those interested in gaming.  Unfortunately I am not.
