Funny how it all falls away.

Grrr. In my head now and I am not putting that on in the car.

Not even the Ali G version?

🟣🔵🤝🏻 Understand Jaden Philogene’s contract at Aston Villa includes release clause close to €100m.

How about we pay the release clause to ourselves? Would that help with FFP?

We should start a bidding war. With ourselves.

I just read on the MEN website that manure were interested but they will now have to look elsewhere for players in his position.  Now I don’t care if that’s true or not but it makes me all warm inside.

Has he dropped the ‘Bidace’?
Not an easy choice...
Hull are keeping it as part of the deal.

Fully deserved to be back at our club.
I thought last pre season he was a great performer maybe the best.
He's gone away and shown what he can do and I have every faith he'll do the same at Premier League level and Champions League

He's a really entertaining player with a lot of football ability. It's noteworthy that he's had a face-to-face conversation with Unai, so he'll surely be involved. I've heard that the name for substitutions is now called "finishers," but I hope JP gets his fair number of starts! With four competitions, he gets opportunities, and I expect big things from him as he develops fory intelligent via Emery coaching book. I give a footy forecast he'll bea hit this season and be in the World Cup 2026 Squad.

I liked that comment when I first read it, Lou, and I'm liking it again!

Philogene some stats from last season:

Shooting

Both footed:
One of only five Championship players to attempt at least 30 shots with both his left foot (32) and right foot (83) last season,

Shooting from distance:
One of 7 Championship players to register 50+ shots from outside the box last season (51) and scored 2 from distance.
Of the 28 Championship players to register at least double figures for non-penalty goals in the 2023-24 campaign, Philogene was 2nd   xG per non-penalty.

Creativity:
All 52 of his chances created came from open play, with both this tally and his expected assists (xA) total of 5.0 the highest in squad In fact, he either attempted (116) or was the creator (52) of 168 of Hull’s Championship shots last season – contributing over a quarter of their entire total (27.2%)

Positioning
He spent 64% on the left, 36% on right side of attack.

Went skiing.

Stopped off to buy a huge Toblerone and sat guarding it on the team bus all evening.
