That would be nice. I'd like to see the name on shirt industry getting a bit of a boost, they've been in the doldrums since Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink retired.

Not to be all contrarian or anything, but this guy has gotten better the shorter his name has become.

I’d like to see him get to just Jay P this first season, and then with top-notch continental coaching from Emery, aspire to become J P just in time to make the world cup squad.

Good job his son now plays for Twente.

I'd be properly annoyed if Diaby goes and we don't bring in better quality.

I agree, but not sure we will.  JPB will be back up to Bailey on the right side, which will leave Rogers and Buendia along with Tielemans, McGinn, Ramsey and potentially Barkley who can all play in that 'number 10' role.

It looked like at Hull he just had "Jaden" on the back of his shirt, so i think maybe the next logical steps might be "Jay", then "J", and finally just dropping the whole name thing entirely and just having a squad number, ideally '0'.

At which point, he’d simultaneous occupy all positions on the pitch and become unstoppable!

And no genuine pace.

We already have that, I think. Like how VAR changes a goal/no goal by measuring it.

Unpopular opinion no doubt, but I think we will have a better player in JPB than Diaby. I am certain he is stronger on the ball and better backtracking. He doesn't seem as quick but is very sharp in front of goal. Just my opinion, time will tell.

I really hope so but if JPB turns into a better player than Diaby then he’s got to be an £80m+ player. That’s a big hope.

I think we are in danger of taking up a player beyond his means.  A talent yes, but let's allow Unai to Unai him for a while.

Yes he’s a decent season in the Championship. I hope he kicks on and turns out to be brilliant, but I’d be very surprised if he gets near the impact Diaby made in his first season.
