Chelsea have banged on about expansion for decades. Obviously Battersea never happened and their current ground is severely constrained with what they can do.
Maybe they'll move to Surrey or similar

Off the top of my head you can add Forest, Ipswich, Palace and Leeds to the list of clubs who are talking about expanding their stadium.

It's frustrating that we talked a big game right up until the moment we became successful on the pitch then started acting small time off it. Two year's ago the plans they outlined were so ambitious and gradually been completely watered down until the latest in which they laughably have rebranded the inadequate 1970s North Stand as 'historic'.
Leeds going up to 53k,Leicester 45k, Arsenal 80k, Chelsea to go huge in the near future. Even Small Heath talking up a 60k stadium.* Villa Park expansion has got to happen just to keep up. It's a case of when and how big. We will have to take short term pain for long term gain. Move away from Villa Park for a couple of seasons being the most likely option. I'm guessing Cov would be most likely.

* Only likely happen when they qualify for Champions League football.
Surely Leeds aim is 530K?

No, it said that they were planning on expanding capacity, but if that was not possible then they "may" have to look at relocating.

I don’t have a problem with the old plans being put on pause this season, I think it was the right thing to do. I also wasn’t a huge fan of the Purslow NS design, and think the Warehouse is a better idea (keeping the heritage of the area) and is better named than Villa Live was.

However, the more I think about it, I just wish they’d hurry up and get on with something. We don’t need anything crazy-big as we’re not a club who will attract hoards of day trippers in the foreseeable future. But we do need a stadium where we can keep up with the other big clubs North of London, so 50k-60k capacity. Perfectly feasible on our current site.

My hope is that they’ve realised how shit the Purslow design was - could be literally any other club if you took off the Villa stuff - and built something that people come down Witton Lane and are awestruck with our magnificence. No way to approach the ground without seeing either the Holte End or that, looming down on the opposition players, supporters, and our kids in the academy just to let them feel our magnificence

I have been following the progress of Everton’s new stadium via their YouTube updates.
I have to say, it’s a stunning structure and is so impressive, both inside and out.
The inner concourses, the space and accessibility are equally impressive.

It’s a long, long way from the identikit ‘bowls’ that many newer stadiums are.

Fair play to them, they look to have created something pretty special.

Plans in for a 40 bed hotel at Bodymoor Heath for the players, a new indoor pitch, new buildings, offices, facilities for the academy and women's team.

Where’s this reported.  More positive steps by the club.

They should use the opportunity to wash the stain of shame of never having been promoted to the first tier. Go back to Greenwich, resign from Premier League and re enter at the lowest level and then if they can make their way to top legitimately.
