Why doesn't Warrington have a football club of note? Do babies come out as rugby players? That's disgusting.
I believe it was due to lack of Jumpers.

No fun zone. My matchday with two little kids just fell apart :/
Not sure it’s going to work any more.

Lee Preece has noted my wish to share his email unless there was a public statement coming quickly, so presumably there isn’t, here you go.

Thanks for the reminder.

Unfortunately, the building is about to start a major reconstruction so we have lost the family fun zone as was.

We considered using the new Inner City Academy, but as it is a professional sporting surface, we cannot have matchday activity on the pitch.

What we do have is a new space cube being built in the car park, which should have a capacity of circa 1,500 fans, and will provide prime views for player arrival.

Where we can, colleagues will still try and provide child friendly activity.

Once the building work is finished on the new warehouse (where the family fun zone was), we will have up to 4,000 fans housed pre and post-match which will include activities and spaces for children.  The building will open in the autumn of 2025.

We know the fun zone is a big loss, but the building has fell into a state of disrepair over the years and needs a complete overhaul.

Many thanks for your continued support.

I’m gutted and will share some thoughts and suggestions with him at some point.

It was always ambitious and I know for some questionable bringing such little ones along, but it’s been a good part of our lives, my 5yo is on her 4th ST this season and my youngest started coming along meaning much seat juggling since the end of 22/23…

Getting to VP has been an important focus for me and them through some tumultuous times, I’m also grateful for support I’ve had from H&V folk.
Even if it never happens again I’m glad I got them both there with my Dad at the same time.

I have mentioned to them my fear the Fun Zone might not be there, I’m not sure how much interest they’ll keep in coming, though the indoctrination seems pretty deep given the amount of spontaneous singling and comments over the summer holiday.

In the better weather the park is really nice and great for a picnic and outdoor mucking about, particularly if you go up to the area around Aston Hall.  Appreciate this will have less appeal in mid December.

First time at VP this season for a daytime kick off for me and my little one. So was surprised to hear the family fun zone had closed. Not sure how true the above email is given there was an official handing out lanyards outside the building and turning away kids by placating them with a pack of cards. Some kind of hospitality happening inside?

Planning Permission gone in for 800+ seats in the Trinity/Witton Lane for 2025.

Licence for the current fan zone at the back of the North expires 2026.

Do we know if these will be normal seats or more GA- LG  expensive type crap?

They'll be normal seats, just mushing together current ones to maximise space. Would take us to about 43,500.

That's all very 'meh', we need a bigger jump.

Presumably this is the 'bowl optimisation' that was hinted at a while ago.

I expect 800 is the maximum amount they can squeeze in. They will probably be realigning the aisles like they did with the North and Holte which won't free up the space for 2300 seats.

Thats a shame. 45k would have been a good number for now

What I don't understand with the re-alignment is that the seats were originally installed that way for a reason (safety? access? flow management?) - so what has changed and why can they now re-align them as single gangways - like they have done in the North Stand and Holte Lower.

I was thinking the exact same thing.
