So hand on heart are we moving stadium then or not?  What are Atairos on board for if not?
You'd think we'd have Stella in the ground with their connection not pissy Carlsberg

There’s an arcade where you can play space invaders and defender and asteroids.

I knew I’d seen this before I just couldn’t put my finger on it, and then it came to me,
it’s definitely a remodelling and mock up of the first motorway services at Newport Pagnell built in the 1950s

Fair play to the Villa going for the retro feel

I'd prefer Art Deco.

We are not moving stadiums and this has been cleared up many times.

It looks like the kind of flat-roofed pub on an estate that fey boys from the Shires like me are too scared to enter.

The Gladiator at Druids Heath, and you’re absolutely right not to enter.

Does anybody know if it’s still open?

The only pub in the area, I didn’t bother going in and there are a few rough pubs round there.

Unless (the younger) I needed to buy drugs, I know where to avoid, Percy. Unless and until you want to accompany me, I'm staying away!

Edit: I'm casting no aspersions towards the Gladiator at Druids Heath, which I'm sure has a robust policy around law-breaking. I've never heard of the place, so no harm meant, patrons/owners of the Gladiator*.

*Seriously though, I'm never going into a flat-roofed pub called The Gladiator. You might as well walk into a pub in Niddrie called The Chib.

I think we used to be justifiably proud of Villa Park, and it was admired by a lot of away supporters “proper ground genuine experience “ etc but now I’m not so sure, increased ticket prices the fans want more. I think the only way forward is to increase our capacity by at least ten thousand or move.

I think we need to increase it by 20k to realistically compete financially. However, I expect our capacity to remain below 45k for the next 6 or 7 years at least.

Don’t look at me to accompany you mate. I haven’t been in since my one-eared mate* who everybody in there respected** died a few years back.

*lost the other one in a fight after Leicester away

No, it became The Phoenix for a while but it was converted to flats a few years back,

It reminds me of this place in Salford:

Flat roof pub just outside Salford train station, Chico of these parts probably remember it. I went in once to order a taxi.
