Not MOTD, but the Monday Night Club discussing 'the race for top 4'. They spent 15 mins talking about Spurs and Big Ange, followed by 10-15 mins on Chelsea and Poch. You see, if their form had improved sooner, they'd have been in contention for top 4 as well. No mention of Villa or Unai.
It's a joke how much BBC ignore not just us but also the wider WM. I used to love watching Football Focus on a Saturday lunchtime  now I can't stand watching it. They invariably blab on and on about Man U,Liverpool,Man City, Arsenal , Spurs and Chelsea. They play lip service to us and its got a lot worse now Arsrnal fan Alex Scott is host and a large portion is taken up with women's football.  No problem with that per say but why don't they have an extra show just for them.

I listen to this regularly when Richards isn't on.

The producer is a very suoerstitious Villa fan so doesn't like them talking about Villa.

Doesn't account for other programs

I’ve heard Chapman mention that superstitious producer before but to talk about the race for 4th and only jabber on about Spurs was somewhat strange. I would think we are the more interesting of the two given we are still playing on two fronts ( obviously we are always more interesting than Spurs full stop).

I don’t imagine they would cover the boat race and only discuss one of the two crews.

If that's true about the producer, that's utterly bizarre. Doesn't sound like that individual is being professional quite frankly.

I was listening to this on my walk home - they'd even built it up by saying they'd be talking about Villa and Spurs and the battle for 4th - only to then just discuss Spurs' recent failings and the excuses for them - injuries, losing Kane at the start of the season, players not adapting to "Ange's"  system.

I think someone mentioned that we were limping over the line...

Strange superstition. If that were me I'd want to promote villa stories.

No I can understand it whenever we go high profile it has tended to turn to shite.  As far back as 1990 as an example.  Big feature on us on FF only to be followed by the 0-3 at home to Wimbledon.

Yeah, it was pretty ridiculous given the build-up.

Not MOTD, but worth reiterating given that there are divs like Joey Barton spouting utter nonsense out there, Lucy Ward is exceptionally good as a summariser and pundit. She knows the game from her coaching career and she clearly does her research and knows about the teams she’s covering.

Yes, she is fantastic every time I hear her.

From a Villa perspective, she is one of the very few who has recognised & made the effort to comment on our injury situation.

At times, having to repeat herself to the div sitting next to her who completely ignored her.
