It's disappointing Konsa performance at right back today He struggled and made big contribution Ipswich scoring both goals. I believe the second was his fault, if not the first. The absence of aid on that side for defender cover is problematic without Ginny, Kamara, or Luiz, since Onana today was generaly poor and not move over enough to cover, and Bailey and Philogene prioritise offence.

Hold on, he did well at RB against Vinicius Jr in a friendly

Hold on, look how much better we’ve been defensively when he hasn’t played right-back. Want a penalty? Meet Matty Cash. Need to skin a right-back to put a cross in? Bogarde’s yer man? Want to lose your marker? Hello Ned.

30 goals conceded when he was right-back last season against 45 when he wasn’t is a lot more hefty a sample size than one game against Vinicius Jr., impressive as it was. Particularly as our clueless manager picked him at right-back in the difficult games (all home and away games against Liverpool, Arsenal and Man City) and often preferred the penalty king in the less demanding ones. I wonder why?

But I get it. You have stated your passionate preference for a defence that concedes more goals against worse teams many times. It’s a weird one, but each to their own.

Yeah, get Bogarde back in for the Bayern game.

I think emerys made errors at rb personally.  He had played bogarde and  konsa there who have both had mixed good and bad yet he hasnt really given ned a opportunity there

I think he should have seen how ned did there yesterday and if he did well startwd vs munich.

Now we are kind of stuffed unless cash is back

Yes mate, but I don’t base my judgement on just yesterday.

Did you see all the games Watkins didn’t score in? Shit isn’t he?

Who ever plays RB has to deal with Mulsiala so it's quite possible Konsa will be back there on weds.
I just hope Unai reminds him he's not alexander arnold and to keep it simple...and use his team mates. His reluctance to pass to the young players affected our shape and slowed build up in some of the home games and led to the ipswich equaliser yesturday. If they're in the team you've got to trust them even if you think theyre shit.

I love Konsa and think he is a Rolls Royce of a defender but he was absolute dog shit yesterday.

Defending, attacking, passing, positional sense - all left wanting

I think that's what Paul Lambert used to say to Delph and Benteke.

Imperious last night. Their first left-winger did fuck all and got subbed at half-time (or stayed in Ezri’s pocket). Their second left winger did fuck all and got moved inside. Their third left-winger did fuck all.

All this with the usually brilliant Alphonso Davies supporting them from left-back and erm… doing fuck all.

Percy I applaud your at times one man efforts to defend the Konsa is actually good at right back believers club. He was excellent last night.
