John Stones was quarantined in his bedroom on Wednesday with a sickness bug that has put his participation in England’s Euro 2024 opener against Serbia at risk

Konsa and Guehi it is then.
Konsa or Dunk?

Whether it is Covid or not, if there is an chance of infecting the team with a bug, you don't take the chance. Simples.

.....surely this is a worthy of a ban ;) :)

Can we really trust Mouthgate to make the correct decision?

As soon as Konsa has a good game for England expect the media to link him with a move - i would imagine Redfilth now that they have kept the supply teacher

Konsa and Guehi...it's a bit Euro'92 isn't it? Players no one has ever heard of that play for unfashionable clubs.

Bukayo Saka on Ezri Konsa: "Some sessions I do a 1v1 with Ezri because he is one of the best in the Premier League at defending 1v1s. It improves me and it improves him as well. I enjoy coming up against him."

As my babby said “Konsa won’t improve by marking Saka. He’ll just pocket him easy”.

And some nutters would rather have Cash playing at right-back for us.

I think most people would rather have Cash there, because they'd rather have Konsa at Centre Back. I'm not sure anyone wouldn't want Konsa in the team.

I know the thought process. I just think it’s nuts.

Yeah, the results in the first half of the season with Cash at right back and Konsa at centre back were shit, weren't they?

I thought the Arsenal and Man City ones were pretty good.

Ezri is an excellent defensive right-back, probably as good as anyone - but in the modern game full-backs do more than just defend.  They have to get up the pitch and contribute to the attacking play, and that's where he falls down slightly.  Not that he's terrible going forward, but he's NOT an attack-minded player.  Cash is the opposite, quite good going forward and getting up and down the pitch, but not as good as Ezri as a defender (he has improved, and is definitely competent these days).

Hopefully we can find someone who excels at both.

Unai seems to favour going with one of the fullbacks who will push on and one more defensively minded.

We let 27 goals in when Konsa played right back, 45 when it was Cash. That’s a lot of goals for Matty the assist Cash to make up for.
