He could have cost us a place in the top 8 for that.  Its brainless i mean how thick can you be seriously?

He certainly isn't thick, but his ability to just switch off at any moment has never left him.  You'd be crucified I'd you did that on a Sunday morning down the park, let alone in a champions league game.

Agree with that bud.

Othwe clubs all laughing at us. He made us a laughing stock. I just dont understand on his CL debut he decides to do something so idiotic

I really do wonder about you ?

You seriously think he "decided" to do what he did.  What happened clearly was that he took his eyes of the ball and then turned to find it rolling towards him and (incorrectly of course) assumed it had been thrown back to Martinez and missed him.  Yes I am sure he will also wonder why he didn't just kick it back to his keeper - he didn't and what happened happened.  Other clubs ARE laughing at us but that's because we have scared them reaching the Champions League and exposing their weaknesses.  This allows them to point and say Villa won't do it again won't go far in the Champions League but here we are 99% certain to be still in the knock out phase and still at the upper end of the Premier League.  We all know there will be blips on the way and what we dont need then is a drama queen!

You must be wondering about half the site then as a lot of people have said the exact same thing

It was a embarrassing error its a simple as  that. A blip is one bad result. This is more than a blip 1 win in 6. Its a poor run if the form. Thats not being a 'drama queen' thats reality

I bet Peter Enckelman enjoyed a large brandy and cuban cigar last night.  His demons have been painted over.

Painted people, tainted love.

I'll smother that pig in a holy scene.

Never knew that was the line! He was obsessed with swine.

Mings is a modern day legend of this club. He and McGinn are instrumental in getting this club off its arse and back to where we are . He made a genuine mistake , who hasn't . Onwards we go . I'd play him Saturday night , best CB at the club.

I think we just need to move on from it now. Its been 48 hours and mings is a legend at the club for everything he has done and gone through to get back to coming back.

The errors done now im just he feels horrible inside so as silly as it was no need  for us to keep going back over it. I just hope that lights a fire inside tyrone to make it right because boy do we need his leadership

He made a mistake but what he's done for us he's easily forgiven.

Us left-footers are still seen as sinister.
Under-appreciated comment :)

Every player makes a mistake. I'm just pleased it was Mings rather than anyone else, as he is resilient enough to get over it and get back to doing what he's best at.

It's the sort of thing his teammates will be ripping the piss out of him for. I suspect for a long time. It will be like the terrace 'handball whooooah, handball' type chant. And he'll probably face that from other sets of fans too.

Ultimate brain fart, but it won't define him, unlike Enkleman's fuck-up did for him.

It's one of the things I love most about his lyrics. He always knows when to invoke the pig.

Edit: not that I think Painted People is any good!

Even Animal Nitrate is about bacon. I reckon Anderson was alright, but Butler was a bacon buttie buttering bastard.

Both vegetarians pal. I've experienced many a weekend that reminded me of Animal Nitrate and there's never been any bacon (though there has been butter!)

Yep.

And as everyone with any sense said, the bigger worry being, well everything else, not a momentary lapse.

It's clearly about the preservatives used in curing meats and that is the end of the matter. As for Butler, the fact he is vegetarian only makes his bacon buttering worse, as he has no intention of consuming the soiled product.
