He could have cost us a place in the top 8 for that.  Its brainless i mean how thick can you be seriously?

Let’s not go overboard. It’s a bad mistake, he’s not thick. As I have been saying since he returned, it’s great for the squad but he is a squad player. He has always been prone to lapses in judgement.

If it was an Arsenal player and the referee had decided to ignore it, it would quickly have been forgotten about. He's still a vital part of the team that took us from the Championship to Europe and I'm glad he's back.

I think it was a penalty BTW before anyone leaps on that. We could have got away with it on another day, though. I'm sure no Villa player will ever do that again in the next twenty years.

He certainly isn't thick, but his ability to just switch off at any moment has never left him.  You'd be crucified I'd you did that on a Sunday morning down the park, let alone in a champions league game.

Utterly idiotic. Just no excuse for such a stupid action.

Calm down Demetri. It’s a brain fade.

The far more worrying aspect is the level of performance - we should have been able to come back from that, but we didn’t look able.

Exactly.  The last 18 months I've always felt even when we went behind that this team could find a way back.  Last few games we haven’t.

We're beginning to resemble a team that started to believe it's own bullshit

Don’t worry yourself about other clubs laughing at us. They were laughing at us when we were mid table in the Championship when Mings joined us.

He means don't go over the top and post about the same thing over and over again for the next twelve hours like you normally do.

Mings is not thick at all. He is a very bright and erudite man. BUT, he also hasn't played football for us for 14 months. He was shouting up the pitch for to organise people, saw the ball roll in front of him and thought Emi had dropped it and put it back for a goal kick. He is not a ball player like Torres so didn't expect it to have been played to him. Why he didn't just nudge it back with his foot though I have no idea. Saliba did exactly the same last season and got away with it. And that was more blatant as he watched Raya kick it to him.

Gutted about what he did tonight. I was hoping his and Buendia's return would spark a revival in our form. It's not a good restart for either of them. And yes I'll give them time.
