Personally, I had John McGinn as player of the match.
Unbelievable work rate, performance, and leader.
Brilliant from start to finish and wonderful goal.
He's banned the T (title) word, but he's leading and delivering first-class performances worthy of a title winning team

Wonderful swivel for the goal he took it so well with great instincts.
Ginny is looking forward to his two days off, acknowledging the manager's fairness in giving players some rest.

We've got McGinn! Super John McGinn!

After the game, Ginny said the manager is ambitious and that if players aren't going to be at the level of ambition of Emery, he'll bring them in.
Emery has improved the players by teaching them positional play and organisation, but I also credit many, including McGinn, who have learned, developed, stepped up, and improved considerably.

On RAWK they were saying his backside is a work of art, and comparing him to King Kenny. High praise indeed.

It's what Kopites call Kenny Dalglish.

SJM has surged into my top five players of all time.

Been with us from the championship and stuck with us. All heart, tenacity and a hell of a lot of skill. An all-rounder. I desperately want him to either lift us a trophy or lead us out in the Champions league.

A big call this, but for me he is probably our player of the past 25 years (if he does one of those).

Mcginn, Captain's performance again. Player of the match again.

He's certainly eclipsed another player that I think he was mates with.

First time poster, A hibby who has followed Villa since the Des Bremner days.

Very proud of Meatball, brilliant player who never fails to give 100% on top of that a Captain who has it all,. Your lads are doing the talking on the park, but he shines on and off. His after-match interview are brilliant, anyone looking in from the outside cannot fail to be impressed!
Looking forward to following you lot in the Champions League!!

McGinn has seemed indefatigable this season but last night he looked like his legs were on the verge of saying enough is enough. He still found those moments to really press and harry and break forward. Incredible. I'd rest on him Thursday along with a handful of the other players who've cranked up a lot of minutes. We've got a few coming back and some who've just broken into the team who could benefit from the minutes. SGM, Dougie, Ollie and King Konsa deserve a break.

Absolutely superb. There's not really another player like him who can do what he does and of all the wondrous sights to see at the Villa right now, perhaps my favourite is the McGinn spin. It's majestic.

Hello Hibby! Did you see the Europa playoffs matches?

El Professor is teaching his captain well.
On the Goal yesterday.
After Ginny had previously been in a similar position and found himself with a chance in the box via Bailey, the analysts advised him that the next time he gets in that position, he should touch with his right foot, turn to his left, and shoot with his left foot as he had previously turned to his right. That he did take note of body positioning is credit to him and the coaches.
