Ah I know. As if my toe would hit the bedroom carpet in the morning for £230 an hour... (I jest. Or do I?).

I think we're getting to the stage where Manchester City can afford to spend more than the League.

100% this!

Was the same when the oddballs like Bristol City were crying about our spending in the Championship…the EFL would have been running scared of the financial clout of NWSE at that time.

City will tie PL up in legal knots until they get the outcome they want be it completely cleared or some token punishment

When Wolves were buying up Mendes' contacts book, someone important at a local club (not Villa) told me "Everyone knows it's dodgy but the Football League haven't got the money to go after them and the Premier League don't care."

I think that has always been the case since they became owned by a Petrol State.

Seems a more than reasonable take to me

Premier League clubs vote through associated party rule amendments - more court cases on the way, it won't end here..

And let's be clear, we didn't vote the way we did because we agree with City, but because we wanted to wait longer and to have the vote when more time had been given to think about the issue.

I do not think you can say that with any certainty.

I can, and did! 😊

It's what Sawiris said to the Telegraph. And I don't have him down as a liar.

Are Wes and Nassif making independent decisions or are we being increasingly influenced by Abu Dhabi/City?

Sawiris is relocating NNS group to Abu Dhabi. Edens' Fortress Investment group was eventually absorbed into Mubadala Investment Group via Softbank. His ultimate boss is effectively the Abu Dhabi government and Sheikh Mansour.

Success on the pitch is becoming less and less about sporting achievements - I hate it.

Yes I read the article, show me where he said he disagreed with the City position?
