A good player from an era when we needed solid, Championship quality players. Not quite good enough for the PL but he was a vital cog in our promotion push.

I always had the feeling that he loved playing for us, he probably knew that he would never get a bigger gig. He loved us and for a time we loved him.

He’s been on the Villa View /1874 podcast a few times. Comes across as a decent bloke who really enjoyed and appreciated his time with us.

Really liked Conor as a player you could tell he cared deeply, was always in the front if it ever looked like kicking off Leeds away, Grealish assault, he may have had his flaws as we progressed up the table but you could never question his commitment and had a wand of a left foot when required. One of those players who’ll be remembered fondly whenever he returns as with McGinn and others he was part of the resurrection of the club.

Doug not even on the bench for Juventus’ win against Monza.
Traore scored in a 0-2 Ajax win after coming on as a sub.

Blimey, did you ask him about the Gerrard era once the goose fat had been located?

I hope we put a clause in Azaz's ridiculously low transfer fee as he'll go for as much as Rogers next summer.
