Started watching "For the Love of the Game" last night - the "unknown" (well to me at least) Kevin Costner baseball film. It was on MLB Network and destroyed by adverts so I never made it to then end (at midnight)

I saw enough to say it was nowhere near as good as Bull Durham or Field of Dreams - and featured Brian Cox as the owner of the Detroit Tigers.

The White Sox continue their makeover with the signing of Melky Cabrera.

Baseball should be interesting in Chicago next season.

In trade news, it looks like the Dodgers will relieve their outfield logjam and help their catching problems by trading Matt Kemp for Yasmani Grandal
