Dishoom is pretty good to be fair.
TGI Fridays does Indian.
TGI Fridays is the worst pub grub chain of the lot. Well at least the one just past five ways is. We once had a table for 12 booked. Got there and were shown to our table which was still strewn with the contents of the crowd before us. After 25 mins it was still there so complaints were made. Eventually a couple of moody twats cleared the table. Another 10 minutes past before they took our order for food and we still hadn't had any drinks. Drinks Eventually came and the order was totally wrong. Before they could get it right our food came. At least 5 meals were wrong and they still hadn't brought out the correct drinks. That was it. We left 50 quid for the drinks and we drank all the ones that they'd got wrong. Probably another's 25 quids worth. Got up em masse and walked out. The manager tried to stop us but was told in no uncertain terms where he could go. He said he had details of the one who had booked the table and we would be hearing off them. That was about 6 years ago. We never heard anything off them again.

The service in Dishoom is very good and so is the food, I just don’t like restaurants where I feel I am being processed.

Worst for me is being told where to sit in an empty restaurant - that and finding a nice, quiet corner table and despite there being pretty much a restaurant full of tables, new customers are either told to sit at the table next to us or worse, do so by their own accord. Bah!

Agreed, as out of order as choosing to stand next to somebody at a urinal when there's one free further along.

Yep. Simply unacceptable.

If Loco Lounge is an example then they're likely too upmarket for me.

Similar experience last Father’s Day. Kept us waiting for ages then the food was shit. They let us off with the bill when the manager came over and Wifey pointed at her food and asked ‘would you eat that?’.

It was a result for her as me and the kids ate ours.

I think they try to fill the window seats first so the place looks busier than it is.

Yep, me too, the one in Wylde Green is my favourite pub round here by a long way.

We’ve settled all our loans. Anyone want to offer any analysis?

I assume so. We could spend when turnover was £180m, it would have to be for reasons not yet clear to me if we couldn’t spend with turnover at almost double that.

Nothing wrong with the ones in Lichfield and Solihull either.
